OPPO A98 5G - Full Specifications Revealed

The OPPO A98 5G has already bagged multiple certifications, hinting at its imminent launch. Now, its full specifications have appeared in a leaked poster shared by publication MySmartPrice. The poster reveals that the upcoming phone will feature an LCD display with a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout measuring 6.72 inches. The panel will sport a FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, allowing for immersive viewing experience.
It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with up to 8GB of dynamic RAM. The phone will also offer 256GB of built-in storage capacity. It will also be equipped with the brand’s Battery Health Engine for enhanced battery timing and performance.
Like other recent OPPO smartphones, the A98 will have a triple rear camera setup comprising a 64MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors with 40x microlens magnification. It will also have a 32MP selfie snapper housed in a punch hole at the top of its display. On the connectivity front, the smartphone will support 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.3, USB type C and GPS.
OPPO A98 is also rumoured to offer 48-month fluency protection, meaning that it will be protected from lags and bugs. However, this claim has not been verified by OPPO yet.
In terms of design, the A98 will feature a sleek and stylish unibody design that is similar to other OPPO phones in the A series. It will be available in a choice of black, red and blue colour options.
The A98 is expected to be priced between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 40,000, making it a mid-range offering from the company. It will be competing against the likes of Asus Zenfone 5Z, Honor Play and Xiaomi Mi A2 in the Indian market.
